Frequently asked questions
What are credits?
Credits are a unified usage currency across all Calibrant products. Different actions cost different amounts — a full optimization run costs 10 credits, a test run costs 1, and scans cost 2-3 credits each. Your monthly allotment refreshes on the 1st of each month.
What is BYOK (Bring Your Own Key)?
BYOK lets you provide your own Anthropic API key. All AI calls route through your key — you pay Anthropic directly for token usage, and your Calibrant platform fee is lower. Great for teams who already have an Anthropic relationship or want granular cost control.
What happens when I run out of credits?
Actions that require credits will show a "Quota Reached" message. You can purchase a top-up pack instantly (50 credits for $20, 200 for $60, or 500 for $120) or upgrade your plan for a higher monthly allotment.
Can I switch between Managed and BYOK?
Yes, you can switch billing modes at any time from your Settings page. Your plan tier stays the same — only the pricing and token handling change.
How does product selection work?
Starter lets you pick 1 product, Professional lets you pick 2, and Enterprise includes all products. You can swap your product selection once per billing cycle. As we launch new products, they automatically become available to choose.
Is there a free trial?
The Free tier is permanent — not a trial. Use it as long as you need to verify that Calibrant works with your agents. When you're ready for full optimization runs, upgrade to Starter or above.
